There are a good many things in the world that I am good at: Dispensing useless trivia about comic books, cartoon shows and wrestling events. I'm also not too shabby at drawing and writing.
Blogging, it seems, is to be filed in the "Stuff Grant Sucks At" pile. It sits there with Keeping butter out of the Marmite jar and Not farting in bed.
So what's been going on in the wonderful world of (the) Grant Perkins (.com)?
I've been spending a lot of time behind the pencil, which is cool. I'm getting ahead of myself with the submissions and have been working slowing through some other pages for a fellow Digital Webber. The pages are to go to the NYCC in a few days, so the deadline is fairly tight. Still, being sat in this bike shop all day I've got all the time in the world. The last time we had a customer in they wanted a new Penny Farthing.
Facebook is being cool and making the world ever smaller. Now not only can I fill up my friend spaces with various celebrities from around the world (both in and out of the comics field) and pretend that I really know them, I've been found by members of my family I've not seen in the best part of a decade. Isn't 'tinternet cool?
Anyway, I best get off, I might have a customer in the next month or two.
Though hopefully I should remember to blog again before then.

Have you lost a small demon?
Because I have reason to believe that it may have crawled up my back passageway and passed on.

Ah, 1997. A good year for music, in fact it's one that I'm revisiting right now care of the wonder of Youtube. I was just getting into the hip-hop scene at the same time that Puff Daddy was popping up on everybody elses tracks. Puffy (Or P:Diddy, Pappy Diddy Pop, Sean Combes or whatever - he'll always be Puff Daddy to me) stepped out of the rather large shadow of Biggie Smalls and exploded on the pop industry with Ma$e (The mumbler) in tow and everything they touched became gold. Even their back up singers made it big (Can you say J-Lo - Sure, I knew you could).
Speaking of Music, a local band by the name of Sizen (.co.uk) has just popped up on my radar. Not because of their music (Which I'm sure is great, I've not heard a note) but because of their new album cover.

The artwork is by a very good longtime friend of mine, Jamie Beal. Great work Jamie.
As you may have noticed, it's been a few weeks since we've seen a new adventure from Dwayne and Co over at www.doxxville.com. That's just because Eva and I have been so busy with other projects that we've had to take a short break from the webcomic. Don't worry though, the archives are still up and as entertaining as ever. Why not pop over and give them a read? Go on, give your PC a rest from porn for just a second.
It may not be as fun, but there's less mess.

What a way to make a living.
Things are back to normal. I'm back in the bike shop looking out over a mass of no customers and searching the internet for work - of which there is plenty mind you. None of which that even threatens to pay though.
So I'll stick to my submissions and other personal projects for today. As much as I want to draw, ink and colour your excellent graphic novel of 100 pages (by next Friday) I'm going to have to pass. Yes, I understand that your dog's friend's sister's uncle's pet carrot once sat next to Stan Lee on a bus, but I'm cold and hungry and don't care for your story.
Unless of course we make it £100 a page and I'll have it done by the weekend.
